Respected Sir,
I filed an appeal in the High Court in 2015 against a decision by the Additional District Judge under the Rent Control Act. The case status always showed “Judgment Type – Interlocutory Non AFR” until the last listing, where it changed to “Judgment Type – Final Non AFR” while the overall case status remains “PENDING”. Could you please explain the meaning of these changes? I would be grateful for your guidance.

The change from “Interlocutory Non AFR” to “Final Non AFR” indicates that the High Court has passed a final order in your appeal, likely disposing of some aspects of the case but not the entire matter. The case status remaining “PENDING” suggests that the appeal is still ongoing and further proceedings are required.
