My child is 3 months younger than the school’s age requirement. Can they still be admitted? Is there any government policy regarding this? How do I file a case in court? Under what legal category would this fall?

Indian law does not mandate a specific age for school admission. However, individual schools may have their own age requirements. You can approach the school directly and explain the situation. If they refuse admission, you can file a case in the civil court under the category of “Specific Relief” seeking a court order to admit your child.
