My brother, who was living in our village, suddenly disappeared. Some people claim he borrowed money from them, and the court served them with an IP notice. Since then, others in the village have filed false cases against me and my father, including myself. They’re threatening us with the police, but the police won’t show us the complaints or tell us what we’re accused of. How can I get the details of these complaints against me?

Under Indian law, you have the right to access information about complaints filed against you. You can approach the police station where the complaints were filed and request a copy of the First Information Report (FIR). You can also file a Right to Information (RTI) application to obtain details of the complaints.
