I’m an ITI Electrical technician working for the central government in Bangalore. My job requires me to move around India, and I’m keen on pursuing a Diploma in Electrical & Electronics through an evening course. However, the Karnataka Technical Board says I’m ineligible for admission to their polytechnics because I lack a 5-year study certificate from Karnataka. I’m a government employee, and education is my right. What can I do to pursue my studies?

As a government employee, you have the right to education. While the Karnataka Technical Board’s requirement might seem restrictive, you can explore alternatives like distance learning programs or institutions outside Karnataka. Additionally, you can approach the Board directly and present your case, highlighting your work experience and commitment to learning.
