Hi, I’m Basavaraj from Hubli. I switched my Vodafone prepaid number to a ₹299 postpaid plan. However, my monthly bills have been around ₹350 after taxes and everything. Lately, they’ve been adding extra services automatically when I use data, causing my bills to jump to ₹4,000 one month and ₹3,000 the next. I refused to pay such high amounts and they disconnected my number after I called to discuss it. Now, they’re threatening civil contempt and blocking my documents (Aadhaar, license, etc.). What should I do?

You have the right to dispute unreasonable charges and Vodafone cannot disconnect your service without proper notice. Their threats of civil contempt and blocking your documents are illegal and you should report this to the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) and the Consumer Forum.
