I retired from the Indian Navy on January 31, 2000, with a 30% disability pension. During a medical review in 2004, it was increased to 50%, and I’m currently receiving that amount. Is it possible for me to get my disability pension broad-banded to 75%? Someone suggested I contact the Armed Forces Tribunal (AFT) about this.

Under Indian laws, your disability pension can be reviewed and potentially increased based on a medical board’s assessment. You have the right to approach the Armed Forces Tribunal (AFT) to challenge the current 50% disability pension and seek a review, aiming for a possible increase to 75%. The AFT will review the medical evidence and decide based on the facts of your case.
