I’m a government employee in Odisha. I submitted an SC caste certificate during my job application but was selected under the unreserved category. My grandfather’s caste, Namasudra (a Scheduled Caste), is mentioned in the government’s RoR patta. However, I’m a Bengali settler, my grandfather migrated from Bangladesh. The Indian government issued a migration family card listing his caste as Khtriya (general). Could this cause me problems in the future? I need your advice.
