Our family follows Hindu traditions. My grandfather passed away in 1994, leaving behind his son (my father) and daughter (my aunt). He had a clear will stating that our house should go to my father. The property was legally transferred to my father’s name. Sadly, he passed away in 2016 leaving the house to my mother through his will. Now, my aunt is claiming a share in the house. Does she have any legal right to it? Could she file a case in court? We’d like legal advice on how protected we are in this situation.

Your aunt’s claim is unlikely to succeed. The property was legally transferred to your father and inherited by your mother through his will. However, it’s recommended to consult a lawyer for comprehensive advice and to understand potential legal challenges or complexities in your specific case.
