My father passed away 20 years ago. He had 3 brothers, all well-settled. My mother, with great difficulty, raised my sister and me. However, our property was in my grandfather’s name (who passed away 6 months ago). He didn’t consider our well-being and left the property to his three sons. My share was wrongly written in the name of one of my uncles’ sons. The condition is my mother can live there but cannot sell the property. Two of my uncles are supportive, but the uncle whose son inherited my share is not willing to share. My mother deserves her share as she was also part of the family. What can we do in this situation?

You can file a legal claim against your uncle and his son to challenge the inheritance distribution. You can argue that the property distribution was unfair and that your mother, as a dependent family member, deserves a share in the property. A court can decide on the rightful ownership based on the evidence presented and applicable inheritance laws.
