My father’s property is being divided, and I’m worried about my share. Can I, as a daughter, claim my rightful portion of his ancestral land while he’s still alive? Even if he writes a will giving everything to my brother and sister, can I still fight for my inheritance after his death? I’m concerned my siblings are trying to take everything without giving me anything. What are my legal rights under Muslim law?

Under Muslim law, you have a right to inherit your father’s property, even while he is alive. While a will can distribute property, it cannot completely disinherit a legal heir. You can challenge the will in court if it deprives you of your rightful inheritance.
