We were in a car with three friends, my friend was driving. Sadly, there was an accident and someone standing on the road passed away. My question is, are all of us in the car legally responsible, or is it just the driver who’s liable?

Under Indian law, the driver is primarily liable for the accident and the resulting death. However, if you or the other passengers were aware of the driver’s recklessness or negligence leading to the accident, you could be held partially responsible.
