My cousin was riding our motorbike and we hit another bike from behind as it suddenly stopped. I hurt my knee, my cousin lost three teeth, and the other person suffered two leg fractures. They filed a complaint against us for medical expenses. Our bike insurance and the other party’s insurance are both expired. The police have taken our bike into custody. The bike papers are with my dad. Is my dad, the bike owner, also liable in this case? How long will the police keep the bike?
