My auto collided with a rickshaw in a sudden incident. I braked, but my car skidded, and we crashed. I even called an ambulance, and the rickshaw driver was taken to the hospital. The Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal case is done, but the criminal case is still ongoing. All the statements from the police, the victim, and myself are recorded. I told the truth, but the victim claimed he didn’t see who was driving. Arguments are likely to start soon. How can I settle this if the victim won’t compromise, and will I be jailed for this? Please advise!
