My landlord and I signed a one-year lease agreement in December 2013, with a minimum stay of three months. I gave a month’s notice via SMS and phone calls that I’ll be moving out next month. However, he hasn’t responded or answered my calls. The number is a mobile number, so I can’t track him down. The agreement is notarized but not registered. What should I do?

Since you have given a month’s notice, you are legally obligated to vacate the property next month. As the lease agreement is not registered, it is not legally binding, but your notice period is still valid. You should attempt to document your notice by sending a registered letter to the landlord’s known address.
