I’ve been renting an apartment for over a year and signed a lease agreement with the landlord. Now, the landlord wants me to move out without giving any reason. They might be looking for a new tenant. Our agreement allows either party to give two months’ notice before moving out. Can the landlord legally ask me to vacate? If so, can I ask for the agreement fees I paid back when we signed the lease?

Yes, your landlord can legally ask you to vacate, as long as they provide the two months’ notice stipulated in your lease agreement. You cannot claim back the agreement fees you paid, as these are generally non-refundable and cover the landlord’s initial costs.
