Respected sir, I’ve been selected for the Assistant Manager position at BSFCSCL. The advertisement mentioned an MBA/PGDBM qualification, but I hold an MFM degree from BHU, earned in 2012. I understand the MFM nomenclature was changed to MBA (Financial Management) in 2015, as per a Gazette of India notification. Will my MFM degree be considered equivalent to MBA (Financial Management)? If BSFCSCL rejects my candidacy based on this, can I seek legal recourse? Your guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Your MFM degree from BHU, earned in 2012, is likely to be considered equivalent to an MBA (Financial Management) based on the Gazette of India notification. If BSFCSCL rejects your candidacy solely based on the degree nomenclature, you may have grounds to challenge their decision legally, citing the notification and the equivalence of your qualification.
