My father, a headmaster in a government ashram school, passed away in 2005. We applied for compassionate appointment, and my brother was appointed as an untrained primary teacher in the same department in 2006. He completed his Shikshan Sevak training in 2009 and requested a permanent appointment in 2010. However, the Tribal Department in Thane informed us that compassionate appointments were only granted to Class 3 and Class 4 employees. Since my father was a Class 2 officer, they revoked my brother’s appointment.
