My father, a former worker at a cotton mill in India, participated in a union strike 15 years ago. The company temporarily suspended him, leading him to file a case against them. However, we’ve lost track of the case’s progress and our lawyer hasn’t been helpful. The mill is now closed and under new management. My father wants to withdraw his PF money but our lawyer says we need the company’s signature. What should we do?

Since the company is closed and under new management, you need to contact the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) directly. They can assist in retrieving your father’s PF amount based on his contributions and the closure of the company. The signature from the previous management is not required for this process.
