Yes, you can change lawyers at any time, as the client-lawyer relationship is based on mutual consent. There is no time limit to change lawyers, but delay in filing the contempt petition may prejudice your case. You should consult with a new lawyer immediately and discuss the next steps to ensure your rights are protected.
