My dear sir, I landed a state government job and joined on January 7th, 2017. However, some students are planning to file a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) case against the recruitment process on Monday. They claim that all 42 students from one particular classroom were selected, and are questioning the fairness of the process. Is there a chance this recruitment could be cancelled now that I’m already in the state government service?

While a PIL can challenge the fairness of a recruitment process, your employment is unlikely to be directly impacted unless the court finds the recruitment process to be fundamentally flawed and orders its cancellation. The court will consider the merits of the PIL and the evidence presented before making any decision.
