I’ve been working for a private company for the past 7 years. For the last 8 months (since August 2013), I haven’t received my salary. My company paid the July 2013 salary only in January 2014. I’ve repeatedly contacted HR about this, but they claim the company has no funds. However, I’ve learned that other branches have paid salaries up to October 2013. I’m in a very difficult situation with no money to manage. I desperately need help with this. I’m at a loss about what to do next. Please guide me with a solution.

Under Indian law, you have the right to receive your salary on time. As your company has failed to pay you for 8 months, you can file a complaint with the Labour Commissioner. You can also consider filing a civil suit against the company for non-payment of wages.
