You have strong grounds to challenge the company’s claim. Under Indian law, deposits in your account, your work performance, and the company’s failure to provide a formal letter constitute evidence of an employment contract. You can pursue legal recourse for unpaid salary and wrongful termination, and potentially seek damages for harm to your career.
