I’ve been working at a transport company for the last four months, on probation. I’m not happy with my job and gave my boss a seven-day notice period, as my contract states. Now, they won’t accept my resignation and are trying to blame me for things I didn’t do. They want me to get confirmation from customers about outstanding payments that aren’t my responsibility. What can I do in this situation?

You can serve a formal resignation letter and maintain a record of its delivery. If your employer continues to harass you or make unreasonable demands, you can file a complaint with the Labour Commissioner or approach a lawyer for legal advice on your rights and options.
