I’ve been working at a multinational company in Gurgaon for over 3 years. I resigned on February 10th, my last day was February 16th, and I’m facing difficulties with my full and final settlement. My appointment letter mentioned a yearly bonus of ₹35,000, which I haven’t received. The appraisal cycle was from January 2015 to January 2016, and they typically delay payments, even though it should have been paid on February 1st. They’re also asking me to pay for a notice period, which wasn’t included in my contract. What can I do in this situation?

You are entitled to your full and final settlement, including the yearly bonus as per your appointment letter, within the stipulated time frame. As there’s no mention of a notice period in your contract, they cannot deduct any amount for it. You can initiate a legal process with the Labour Commissioner or file a claim in the appropriate court for non-payment of dues and violation of your employment contract.
