I’ve been working as an assistant manager at a KPO firm for the past six months, and my performance has been good. However, they terminated me today, citing poor performance. They blocked my access, sent a mail to my personal ID stating the reason, and even seized my original mark sheets. But they haven’t given me any notice period or compensation. What can I do?

Under Indian law, your employer is required to provide you with a notice period and severance pay if you are terminated without a valid reason. Since your performance has been good, and they haven’t given you any notice or compensation, you can file a complaint with the Labour Commissioner or file a lawsuit in the appropriate court to seek compensation for wrongful termination. You can also consult with a lawyer to understand your legal options and pursue your case.
