While the Supreme Court ruling in Tamil Nadu might offer some hope, it doesn’t automatically apply to LIC employees across India. Your employment is governed by your contract, and LIC has the right to replace temporary staff with permanent ones. If let go, you can pursue legal options under the contract, including seeking severance pay or claiming unfair dismissal, but the outcome is uncertain.
