I’ve been passed over for promotion to Director at the NCDC, a government organization, despite a strong service record. The promotion board’s decision seems unfair, influenced by another IAS officer and not based on my work. 18 other colleagues were promoted on April 1, 2016, but my name was left out. Should I challenge the promotion list and seek a fresh review of my case?

You may challenge the promotion list through a writ petition in the High Court, alleging bias and unfairness in the selection process. You should present your strong service record and evidence of influence by another IAS officer to support your case. The court will then examine the matter and determine if there are grounds to issue a fresh review.
