I’m a senior professional and my employer says she can’t offer me any more work due to recent setbacks. She’s asked me to resign with 2 weeks’ notice. I’ve asked for a month’s salary in lieu of notice, but she’s refused, saying she’ll only pay for the notice period. She also threatened to terminate me immediately with negative remarks and no pay if I don’t resign. I’m requesting my salary, pending leaves, and any outstanding payments, but she’s not budging. What can I do? I need help urgently!

Your employer’s actions are illegal. You are entitled to your salary, pending leaves, and outstanding payments. You can file a complaint with the Labour Department and/or seek legal advice to enforce your rights. If terminated without notice, you can also claim wrongful termination and seek compensation.
