I worked for OYO Rooms for a year and was asked to leave two months ago. My notice period was waived, and OYO promised to settle my final dues within 45 days. It’s been over 60 days, and my final settlement still hasn’t been processed. They sent me a sheet for approval, but it doesn’t include my 30 paid leave days or the Rs 4,000 incentive I’m entitled to. I’ve contacted them repeatedly, but they keep adding people to the conversation without providing a solution. What can I do to resolve this? Can I also claim compensation for the delayed payment?

Under Indian law, your employer is obligated to settle your final dues within the stipulated time, even if your notice period was waived. You can send a legal notice demanding payment of your dues including the unpaid leave and incentive, and compensation for the delay. You can also file a complaint with the Labour Commissioner if the matter remains unresolved.
