I worked at New Swan Multitech Ltd in Ludhiana from July 2014 to March 2016. I was never given a proper confirmation letter, and the company didn’t provide any benefits. When I left, I was asked to pay back my advance salary even though I didn’t give notice. I’m in a difficult situation and need help.

You have grounds to dispute the advance salary recovery as you were not provided a proper confirmation letter or benefits. Under the Indian Contract Act, a contract without consideration (like benefits) is voidable. You can also argue that lack of notice period in your employment contract makes the advance recovery unreasonable. Seek legal advice to understand your rights and options for pursuing this matter further.
