I worked at a company in India from July 2015 to October 2016, a total of 18 months. I’m unsure if I qualify for a bonus from this period. If I am eligible, but the company refuses to pay, what legal steps can I take? I’d appreciate any guidance you can offer. Thanks.

Indian law does not mandate bonus payments, but if your employment contract or company policy stipulates a bonus, you may be eligible. If the company refuses payment, you can approach the Labour Department for conciliation or file a lawsuit in the appropriate labor court.
