I submitted my resignation on November 21st and my last day is December 20th. I’m currently on notice period, but my manager is asking me to do work that should be handled by the scanning team. He’s even threatened to withhold my relieving documents if I don’t finish this work before my last day. What can I do?

Your manager’s request to do work outside your job description during your notice period is unreasonable. You are not obligated to perform tasks that are not part of your role, especially if they are the responsibility of another team. Refusal to complete these tasks should not be grounds for withholding your relieving documents. Consider documenting the situation and escalate the matter to HR if your manager continues to press the issue.
