Under Indian law, you have the right to seek medical leave with proper documentation. Your employer’s suspicion without sufficient evidence is not a valid reason for refusing your request. You can approach the Labour Commissioner or file a complaint with the appropriate authority, citing your medical documents and your company’s unreasonable behavior.
