I recently submitted my resignation, but my employment hasn’t ended yet. The company just announced a pay raise, but they’re saying those who resigned won’t get the back pay. Is this fair? I’m entitled to that money because it’s for my past work, not a new benefit.

Indian law does not automatically entitle you to the back pay from a pay raise announced after your resignation. However, if your employment contract or company policy specifies that pay raises are applicable retrospectively, you might have a case to claim the back pay.
