I recently joined a new company and they asked me to pay ₹4,500 for training. I paid the money but didn’t get a receipt, as they said the company doesn’t provide them. I asked for a receipt three times, but they kept saying the same thing. I do have a confirmation letter, though. Now, they’re claiming the person I paid didn’t give them the money and they’re not responsible. With just the confirmation email, will the police help me get my money back or keep my job? Should I gather any other evidence?

While the confirmation email can be helpful, it’s unlikely the police will intervene solely based on it. You should gather additional evidence like witness statements or bank transaction records to strengthen your case. You can also explore filing a complaint with the Labour Department, as charging employees for training without proper documentation can be illegal under Indian labor laws.
