I quit my job a year ago and now my former company is creating a hassle about my final settlement. They claim I received an advance for my work and haven’t paid it back, even though I have all the approvals and submitted bills. Since there’s a conflict between the branch head and the managing director, they’re saying the approval wasn’t valid. What can I do to get my final dues cleared?

You can send a legal notice demanding your final settlement and highlighting the approvals and bills submitted. If the issue persists, you can file a complaint with the Labour Commissioner or approach the relevant court seeking recovery of your dues, citing the conflicting approvals and the company’s unreasonable delay.
