I left my job on January 7th, 2014, after being asked to resign due to company cutbacks. They promised my final settlement within a week. But two weeks later, they’re saying I owe them petty cash, even though I settled it over a year ago. Now, they want proof before processing my final payment. What can I do?

You are entitled to your final settlement as per your employment contract and the law. You can demand the payment and threaten legal action if they don’t provide it within a reasonable time. If they persist with the petty cash claim, you can provide them with any available documentation or seek legal advice on how to resolve the issue.
