I joined a new job on December 7th and resigned on March 3rd, but I didn’t have to complete a notice period because I hadn’t worked for three months. Out of courtesy, I stayed an extra week to finish up paperwork and hand over my work. My resignation was approved after I completed everything. The problem is, the company hasn’t paid me my February salary or the few days I worked in March. I call them every day, but they keep giving me excuses or don’t pick up the phone. I’m not getting paid, just excuses. Can I take legal action?

Yes, you can take legal action. You are entitled to your salary for the time you worked, regardless of your notice period. The company’s failure to pay you is a violation of your employment contract and Indian labor laws. You can file a claim with the labor court or approach a lawyer for guidance on the next steps.
