Dear Sir, I’m hoping you can help me understand a situation regarding government policy. The government announced a policy on June 16th, 2014, to regularize contractual employees who had completed three years of service by May 28th, 2014, and were still working for the government. I left my government job on July 16th, 2014, after this policy was declared. I submitted a request to be regularized, but they said I can’t because I’m no longer employed. Is this interpretation correct?

Based on your scenario, the government’s interpretation is likely correct. The policy explicitly states that regularization applies only to employees *still working* on the cut-off date of May 28th, 2014. Since you left your job on July 16th, 2014, you did not meet the policy criteria.
