My parents separated due to dowry issues, but never officially divorced. Years later, I discovered my dad had filed for divorce without my mother’s knowledge. She recently fought to overturn that divorce, but we still live apart. Now, I’m 18 and dream of becoming a doctor, but my retired mother can’t afford it. My dad refuses to help. Is there a legal way I can request financial support from him for my education and for my mother’s monthly expenses?
