In India, under the law of matrimonial property, assets acquired during marriage are considered joint property unless proven otherwise. Your lawyer’s request for the bank statements and PAN card details is reasonable, and your husband’s refusal to provide them, despite having access to the account, may be considered an attempt to conceal financial information relevant to your legal dispute.
