In India, you can legally marry under the Special Marriage Act, 1954, regardless of caste or religion. This involves giving a 30-day notice to the Marriage Registrar in Bhubaneswar and completing the required documentation. You can proceed with the court marriage even without your families’ consent. However, you should understand that it may be challenging to keep the marriage confidential from your families.
