While cousin marriages are common in some parts of India, the Special Marriage Act does not explicitly prohibit them. You can still legally register your marriage under the Special Marriage Act, regardless of your familial relationship. However, it’s advisable to consult with a lawyer to ensure compliance with all legal requirements.
