Is it possible to secure a custody and visitation agreement in Family Court that prevents my husband from seeing, communicating with, or seeking custody of our child? I want to ensure this agreement is legally binding and prevents him from appealing to higher courts.

Indian law prioritizes the child’s welfare and generally encourages parental involvement. It is highly unlikely a court would completely bar a parent from seeing or communicating with their child. While a custody order can specify visitation terms, entirely prohibiting access is extremely rare and would require compelling evidence of harm to the child.
