I’m an unmarried woman and have lived in a single room on my elder brother’s property for the past 30 years. Now, my brother and his family want me to move out so they can build a new structure. They’ve threatened to cut off my electricity, water, and bathroom access if I refuse. What should I do? Who should I contact first? Can I legally stop them from doing this?

As an unmarried woman residing on your brother’s property for 30 years, you may have acquired a right of residence under Indian law. Contact a lawyer specializing in property and family law immediately. You can legally challenge their actions, including the threat to cut off utilities, and seek an injunction to prevent them from doing so.
