I’m 20 years old, studying for my degree, and things are tough at home. My father and I don’t get along, and I want to move out with my mom and sister. We rely on him financially, so I’m unsure how to legally separate from him. What are our options?

Indian law doesn’t allow a child to legally separate from their parents at 20. Your options are limited as you rely on your father financially. You can try to work out a peaceful arrangement with your father or seek legal advice from a lawyer specialized in family law.
