My sister-in-law granted a Power of Attorney (POA) to someone else two years ago to sell a property. This POA was registered at the sub-registrar’s office. Now she wants to appoint her brother-in-law as her representative and register this new POA at the same office. Do I need to revoke the old POA by submitting the original document, which is currently with the previous agent?

Yes, you need to revoke the old Power of Attorney before registering the new one. Since the old POA is registered, it needs to be revoked formally. This can be done by submitting a written revocation document to the sub-registrar’s office, even if the original document is with the previous agent.
