My grandfather left me a will, but I want it to be officially registered. What are the steps involved in getting this done?

In India, wills are not mandatorily registered. You can, however, get it registered for legal protection. You can submit the will along with required documents to the Sub-Registrar of Assurances in the relevant jurisdiction. They will register it, issue a certificate, and record it in their public records.
