My father recently passed away, leaving behind property and farmland in our village. We are eight brothers, and we want to transfer ownership of the land to one brother who lives there. Two brothers can’t travel to the village to sign the necessary documents. They’ve asked me to sign on their behalf using a power of attorney. Should I get a general power of attorney or a special power of attorney for this specific situation?

You should obtain a **special power of attorney** specifically authorizing you to sign the transfer documents on behalf of your two brothers. A general power of attorney is too broad and may not be accepted by the authorities for such a specific transaction.
