My birth certificate shows my birthday as August 30, 1989, but my 10th board marksheet and PAN card say August 28, 1989. I used the 10th marksheet date when applying for my passport in June 2013. Now, the passport office keeps sending me letters asking for a new birth certificate with the “correct” date. I’ve tried to get the date changed in both my 10th marksheet and birth certificate, but the municipality won’t do it. What can I do?

You should seek legal advice from a lawyer specializing in identity and documentation issues. You can attempt to correct the discrepancy by presenting evidence like school records and old identity documents to the passport office. However, changing the date on official documents is a complex legal process, requiring court intervention in most cases.
